Conference Theme: Intersecting Belongings: Cultural Conviviality and Cosmopolitan Futures. The ICTTL is an international conference organized by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University (Thailand); Le Harve University (France); Kellogg College, University of Oxford; Lincoln University (New Zealand), and Institute for Tourism Studies (Macao) with the aim of providing a forum for exchange of ideas and discussion among academics, researchers and practitioners on the latest developments in the fields of tourism, transport and logistics. Held in Paris, France last Feb 14-16, the conference provided opportunities for collaboration among the participants as well as the promotion of excellence in the field.
Feedback on paper presented
The research paper was well received by the audience, sparking interest in writing a similar studies relevant to specific country conditions. The presentation likewise provided an opportunity to promote Philippine tourism.
Future directions of research presented
The study can serve as a springboard for further research in the field of tourism education particularly in the Philippine setting. Other areas that can be explored in succeeding researches include additional developments in the regulatory environment that the Philippine educational system is faced with; data can also be gathered to monitor the impacts on various stakeholders such as students, faculty and the industry.
