NYU professor and dean to speak on genomics and the evolution of plant biodiversity

Dr. Michael Purugganan, Dean of Science and Professor of Biology at New York University will render a talk entitled “Genomics and the Evolution of Plant Biodiversity” on January 30, 2015, 2pm at the Auditorium, 2F of the newly-constructed building of the Institute of Biology located at the National Science Complex in UP Diliman. Dr. Puruggan who is a member of the international scientific advisory board of UP’s Philippine Genome Center provides advice on long-term strategy, planning and implementation of the research programs of the Center.  The event was organized by the University’s Philippine Genome Center, Institute of Biology, and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs to form part of the 29th anniversary celebration of the Institute of Biology in UP Diliman.
