The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Science, Technology, Research, and Innovation for Development (STRIDE) Program handed out 30 awards to 18 universities from the Philippines during the grants reception on 18 June 2015 at the Makati Diamond Residences. Three out of the 16 Professional Science Master’s scholarships were given to students of the University of the Philippines (UP). Now on its second year, Gawad Pangulo for Progressive Teaching and Learning aims to recognize UP faculty members who have shown remarkable achievements in enriching course content and innovating in pedagogy while continuing to uphold the fundamental value and relevance of their courses. Nominees, who will compete in two rounds, will be judged according to the excellence and progressive quality of their teaching philosophy, course syllabus and content, course materials, and course activities. Program for Fostering ASEAN Future Leaders Program 2015/2016

A Program for Fostering ASEAN Future Leaders Program 2015/2016 is an ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Project between the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and Daejeon University (DJU). The project is jointly funded by the ASEAN-ROK Future Oriented Cooperation Programs Funds and Daejeon University. The program offers exchange scholarships for 20 undergraduate students from ASEAN student to study at Daejeon University, the Republic of Korea (ROK). The scholarship includes tuition fees, room and board, round-trip ticket, basic medical insurance and monthly living allowance for one academic year.
