A group of graduate students from the MA Asian Studies program of UP Diliman is in Korea for the eight-day Korea Study Tour organized by the UP Korea Research Center (KRC), a unit under the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The tour aims to provide students with an opportunity to visit Korean universities to motivate them to pursue research works on Korea as well as undertake further graduate studies in the country. During the academic visit, they will participate in seminars and discussions with Korean professors and graduate students.
With the students are UP Diliman faculty members Dr. Aldrin Lee, associate dean for research and publications at the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy; Dr. Michelle Palumbarit, assistant professor at the Asian Center; and Dr. Erik Paolo Capistrano, associate professor at the Virata School of Business. Lee and Palumbarit also serve as co-researchers of KRC.
On 9 May, the team participated in the Joint Symposium on Multicultural and Unification Education for which KRC partnered with the Unification Education Research Center of Seoul National University.

The team will be in Korea until 14 May.
KRC was established two years ago to actively promote Korea-related programs and collaborative research in UP particularly in the social sciences and the humanities.
