2017 ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women

On May 2, the USAID and the U.S. Mission to ASEAN, in partnership with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Underwriters Laboratories, launched the third round of the ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women.

The ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women seeks to recognize and reward talented, early career women, 40 years of age or younger, working in applied science from the ASEAN region. The 2017 round will focus on rapid urbanization with a lens on health, transportation and infrastructure, and workplace safety and retention.

One winner will receive $20,000 and an honorable mention will receive $5,000. They will have the opportunity to attend the awards ceremony at an ASEAN ministerial meeting in Myanmar in October 2017.

Qualified candidates should apply by 1 July 2017 (extended deadline) at 11:59 pm GM+7.
